5 Best Bars in 5 Minutes for Channel 31

As the most prolific boozehound comedian in Melbourne I was asked to go and review 5 Bars in 5 Minutes for Channel 31.

I visited Campari House, Rooftop, Madama Brussels, Loop Rooftop Bar and Palms at the Carlton Club.

Independent Music Awards for Poncho

I interviewed a bunch of artists at the Independent Music Awards for Poncho including Airling, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard,#1 Dads and John Butler… That’s when it got weird.

Swipe Night podcast finally launches!

So myself and my partner in crime/housemate/fellow comedian/fellow internet dating fiend Kirsten Law have finally launched our podcast. She was my co-star in our 2014 Fringe show Man Academy.

It’s called Swipe Night and it’s a comedy podcast all about online dating, sex and relationships.

Here is our cool lil’ logo designed by the absolute lord of legends Hadley Donaldson. Check out his other designs here.

Every week we have a different “guest despo” on to talk about the various facets of their online dating life, disastrous stories and weird interactions. It will be a mix of comedians and other people with experience in the area.

So far we have had Sam Taunton, Thomas Jaspers and Clem Bastow, plus we’ve got a bunch of other awesome people in the pipeline.

Check out our sweet website here, plus please do SUBSCRIBE on iTunes!

Have a listen to our 1st ep here with Raw Comedy National Finalist Sam Taunton.

Keep an eye out for him on Tinder.

Nazeem Hussain & triple j

I appeared on Nazeem Hussain’s show and said the word “swag” on national radio, so help me god.
Last time we were on the radio was the (SELF-DESCRIBED) infamous triple j Debate Night Aussie hip hop debate. I received a disappointing zero abusive tweets after this appearance.

We out here fam at @triplej with @nazeemhussain talking about dating the internet

Hey mates,

Here is the line-up for my first week of shows at this year’s comedy festival show Rose Callaghan & Mates 2: Return of the Mates!!

Format is same as last year – I MC (do about 30 mins of material) and then i have 2 guests doing 10 mins each.

The address is 22 Sutherland Street, Melbourne. It is just around the corner from Short Stop donuts and very near 1000 pound bend. It’s called Hugs & Kisses but i’m told that does not come up in Google.

The door is not actually ON Sutherland street, so walk down past the construction till you get to the pink light.

“Rose is hilarious, and this variety show-style hour is a great way to see some unexpected big names in a smaller setting. Names that appeared last year included Joel Creasy and Tom Ballard, among others.” – Pedestrian.TV – Pick of the 2015 Melbourne Comedy Festival

On Nova with Nath Valvo

Nova comedy radio

Once again I have been shamed by my friends into updating my website. It’s nice that they care enough to abuse me about it so I thought I’d post this audio from when I did Nova 100 Saturday morning breakfast with my pal and fellow comedian Nath Valvo. He hosts the show every weekend and has different comedian guests on.

Nath and I have been friends since we met on the red carpet at the Logies in 2010. Unfortunately we were working, as part of our former radio jobs, and not guests of the event. We both had to interview Bindi Irwin and were deeply disturbed.

This radio show starts at 6am on a Saturday morning, which is the time I’m often coming home, so being up at this time was a real novelty.
